How to best maintain these mats and ensure longevity?

Frequent maintenance of any matting is paramount to keeping it operational and attractive. At The Parliament Cleaning Group, we offer different options, such as weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or “as needed” for entrance matting care. On installed Roll Good matting, we utilize our truck mounted equipment for hot water extraction on these mats. A truck mount provides high pressure injection of hot water and finishes with thorough high-pressure extraction.  With the ability to carry 100 gallons of 280-degree hot water this process allows us to rinse the matting as required to remove the salt buildup. For loose lay matting, we offer onsite cleaning with our truck mounted process or in instances where a client maintains a duplicate set of matting, we offer a rotation service where we pick up the dirty set bring them to our in-plant cleaning facility and replace with the clean set from our facility. Lastly, we believe that entrance matting is a year long “first line of defense “ against grit , dirt & dust migrating into a facility. During the summer months most facilities will not require as much matting however the first 15 feet into any entrance is crucial to prevent slips and falls on rainy days not to mention dust, dirt from everyday foot traffic and or neighbouring construction projects.
